Fee Routing: How PAIR Distributes Creator Fees On-Chain

PAIR routes creator fees on-chain to X creator wallets, buyback treasuries, and holder reward pools based on your configured allocation.

Every time someone trades a PAIR token, the protocol automatically routes a portion of those trading fees on-chain — no manual intervention, no off-chain intermediary. The destination of those fees is determined entirely by the allocation you configure when you launch your PAIR, and the routing is enforced transparently on Solana.

The Three Routing Destinations

When fees are generated, the on-chain fee router splits them across up to three destinations according to your configured percentages. The three destinations — and what they do — are described below.

X Creator Wallet(s)

Fees are sent directly to the Solana wallet(s) linked to the X creator account(s) in the pairing. If multiple X accounts share creator fees, each receives their configured share.

Buyback Treasury

Fees accumulate in the buyback treasury, which the protocol uses to purchase the PAIR token from the open market. This creates sustained buy pressure aligned with trading activity.

Holder Rewards Pool

Fees flow into the holder rewards pool and are distributed pro-rata to token holders. The more of the PAIR token you hold, the greater your share of incoming rewards.

All three branches are executed by the same on-chain fee router program. The percentages are fixed at launch time and reflect exactly what you set in the fee allocation sliders.

Allocation Rules

Your three allocation sliders must always sum to 100%. You can weight them however you choose — for example, prioritising creator payouts, leaning into buybacks, or maximising holder rewards. You cannot configure an allocation that does not total 100%.

Think carefully about your allocation before launch. Emphasising holder rewards can attract long-term holders, while a higher buyback allocation creates visible buy-side market activity. There is no single “correct” split — it depends on your goals for the PAIR.

Routing Trigger Mechanism

The exact trigger mechanism — whether fee routing executes per-trade, on a periodic schedule, or on-demand — is part of the active development roadmap. This page will be updated once the trigger behaviour is confirmed and live.

Fee routing is designed to execute automatically based on on-chain events. You do not need to manually claim or trigger the distribution as a launcher. Creators and holders receive their allocations according to the confirmed trigger mechanism when it is finalised.

Multiple Creator Wallets

A PAIR can include more than one X account as a co-creator. When multiple creators are configured, the creator payout portion of fees is split among them according to their individual shares. All wallet-to-wallet routing remains on-chain and auditable.

Viewing Routing History

A dedicated in-app transaction history UI that surfaces fee routing events is planned. In the meantime, all fee routing transactions are recorded on the Solana blockchain and can be inspected using any Solana block explorer.

Because every routing event is an on-chain transaction, the complete history is publicly available. To audit routing for any PAIR token, look up the token’s associated fee router address on a Solana block explorer. You will see every fee disbursement, timestamped and attributable to a specific trade or trigger event.
